== Mob Psycho 100 ==
OP Main character.
Well-rounded supporting cast.
Reigen the god.
High octane action scenes with superb animation.
Interesting interpersonal relationships.
Beautiful art style (due to cartoony visuals).
Over-the-top comedy as ridiculous as One Punch Man.
Actually, just don’t expect everything to be like One Punch Man.
Mob Psycho 100 feels to me like a more mature, developed One Punch Man. For those who have not watched One Punch Man, that show is a satire on the superhero genre with an overpowered main character that does not give a sh*t about what anyone thinks about him. On the other hand, Mob Psycho 100‘s main character, Mob, is far more relatable which makes Mob Psycho 100 a more enjoyable experience.
Many compare One Punch Man and Mob Psycho 100 and conclude they are pretty much the same series. I disagree. Sure, like Saitama from One Punch Man, Mob is the most powerful psychic in the series’s universe. Yet unlike Saitama, Mob is a normal student who just wants to become popular. He views his powers as dangerous, something not to be used on other people. The two main characters possess similar levels of strength but completely different ideals. Saitama embraces his power regardless of others’ opinions where Mob rejects his power in favor of other’s opinions of him. Mob’s story is that of growth, self-acceptance, and maturation. Saitama’s story is that of a man who stands up for his own ideals, having already achieved self-acceptance and his own growth.
Similar story style. Same awesome fight scenes. Completely different backgrounds.
Mob Psycho 100‘s really good. Watching all of the characters grow is a delight to watch and the fight scenes are top-notch.
Overall: 8.5/10 (Highly enjoyable and exciting)
